SIWES placements and hands-on farm training in Akure, Ondo State
At Ronito Farms, growing food is only part of our mission. We believe the future of agriculture in Nigeria depends on young people who have seen modern farming up close and done the work with their own hands. That is why we open our farm in Akure to students and anyone eager to learn.
Industrial Attachment (SIWES)
We host university and polytechnic students for their Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) and other industrial attachment placements. Students work alongside our team in day-to-day farm operations and gain real experience they can build a career on.
Short Practical Training
Not a student? We also offer short, hands-on training for people who want to start or improve their own farm, whether you are a beginner, a school leaver, or already farming.
What you will learn
- Poultry management: layers and broilers
- Catfish farming and traditional fish smoking
- Pig, goat, sheep and rabbit husbandry
- Black soldier fly larvae production for animal feed
- Feeding, hygiene and basic animal health routines
- Farm records, costing and selling your produce
Who can apply
- Students in Agriculture, Animal Science, Fisheries, Agricultural Economics and related courses
- Young people and adults interested in starting a livestock business
- Groups and schools interested in an organised farm visit
